It's a lot smaller; they have 33 people. They were good, but the transportation was a problem. It seems like everywhere they say that they can accommodate transportation for dialysis, but then when it comes down to it, they can't.
The staff seems to be attentive, compassionate, and caring. It seemed to have plenty one-on-one time. They did have a recreational lounge where everybody could come and sit and you wouldn’t necessarily have to entertain your family in a room. You could go out to the common area. Buckner Westminster Place was a very good fit for my mother in law. The help was wonderful and that is what really made the place. We had a few issues with the phone and we could not get through to people in the memory care unit, but they were doing remodeling so that is temporary. I would recommend this facility to others looking.
I like knowing that my mom is participating with the other residents, but is wanting to have more choices in the activities that are offered. We would recommend that other families tour this community for the care of a loved one. The Judson Care Center, Inc. is a nursing home with a 1-star overall rating; the lowest possible. Meanwhile a resident was calling out for help. There’s obviously not enough staff !! Or they are too busy on their phones or watching the TV.
The entrance in the back wasn't secured, anybody could just walk right in. Get to the second floor and almost everyone was on there cell phones, didn't bother to ask what we wanted and who I was there to see. My sister has been in there for a couple days, and I've been there most of the days, had not seen anyone come in to clean the floors.
That afternoon is a memory we will treasure always. I just want to thank all of you for everything you are doing at Judson to take care of my Mom and all the residents. I can not imagine the enormous pressure you are all feeling. Please know that I very much appreciate you, and I am in awe of the dedication you are showing, and the compassion you are feeling for the residents! Once again thank you, Kelley, for the weekly notice and positive communication with all Judson Meadows staff. During this time of turmoil and unknowns, you all have made this so much easier for families to know that our loved ones are in good hands.
